That water mark doesn't stop this from happening. Unfortunately, 2018's probably being pirated already. I’m sure TechSmith has the watermark to try and keep people from steeling the program/creating videos. You've really wasted 30 days creating fake projects. So that doesn't make much sense. Then really spin your wheels. If you purchase Camtasia. If you were aware the videos would be watermarked. At least you were aware. After "X number of hours", You've invested enough time to pay for the upgrade.Everyone’s time is worth money.Therefor, throwing away those hours is a net loss. He can't even open his project in Camtasia 9. Invests "X" amount of hours into a project.Surprise, here’s your watermarked video.ĭecides he doesn't want to purchase 2018. Decides to take 2018 out for a 30 day trial. The biggest problem in my opinion? Most people are unaware of the watermark until they try to render a video. Thanks for posting and have a great day/night. Just my 2 cents worth and I know that TechSmith does listen to their users but also have to take into consideration which feature(s) will be best or most updated and work well without to many bugs (Which any software will have the bugs to work out) and also the upgrades of other technologies that are ever advancing just as fast and if something is implemented that is going out and being replaced by something newer and better then those have to be taken into consideration too.

as their will always be likes and dislikes and agreements and disagreements for any software or other itmes in life. That pretty much goes for any software or forum etc.

And with any software there is not one that I can think of that has everything and option that every user would want or need with a magic do all and everything I want or users want it to do. The watermark is removed on the purchase of the product and if there was no watermark then they would have to restrict some of the features available in the trial in my opinion.Īs far as the lack of the new features I feel that the new features in the Camtasia 2018 are great and have improved and offer more to the users for what was requested by the users. Having the watermark is not that bad as it it is great software that I have used for many years and never had complaints but mor feature requests. The watermark is used on Trial Versions as almost all if not all of the functions are available in the Trial Versions of their software.
